A Quick Break

When we came to the clinic last Thursday for her next scheduled admission, Lilyś port was still pretty irritated from the last time she was accessed for her treatment. So, Dr. X made the decision to wait on the next chemo until today. We got some medicine and special bandages to treat it with when we went to clinic on Thursday, and today it looked so much better.

Lily had chemo through her spinal fluid today, a high dose of methotrexate over a short period of time, and now she is getting a large does of medicine that will finish tomorrow afternoon. She has been pretty restless this evening, but has finally settled down and is now sleeping.

The neuropathy in her legs is still hard for her, so on Thursday the dosage of the medicine that helps combat that was upped. It can take a couple of days for it to be effective, so we are hoping that she will have some relief tomorrow. Her legs are weaker, so she is also using a walker to get around.

After the last treatment, lots more of Lilyś hair came out, so she made the decision to shave it off. I know I am biased, but she looks absolutely beautiful. Please join me in praying that God will guard her heart and remind her that she is made in His image and is a masterpiece. ¨People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.¨ 1 Samuel 16:7

Thank you so much for praying for our girl and for our family.
