Remission

Every generous act and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of Lights. - James 1:17

Today we heard really good news from Dr. X. Lily is in remission, which means there is no detectable leukemia!

So - that means that we move into the next phase of her treatment. This phase is called consolidation and should last around 56 days. It will be more chemo, other shots, meds in the clinic, and meds at home. We will continue to go to clinic at least one day each week, and sometimes twice. The doctor did caution us that sometimes this portion of treatment can cause a lot of nausea and loss of appetite. Please pray with us that the nausea will be controlled and that she will continue to eat.

Lily is down to 1 insulin shot per day. This in itself is such a blessing! The amount of insulin she has to take decreased again today. We continue to hope that the diabetes part of her illness is over soon.

Please continue to pray for our girl. Please pray that the leukemia is completely gone. Pray that the side effects are minimal. We are so grateful for your prayers.
